Help with race weight, and what to look out for.
Tread carefully with race weight, but to be honest it gets a bad reputation in running. When it comes to other sports like boxing etc. if you walk into a gym and your trainer decides you should fight at a lower weight division it's not seen as a big deal, but in running we're over protective about food / eating and race weight, be smart with it, and stick to the basics like I said. Focus on healthy choices to reach your optimum race weight, and cut the snacks, alcohol and extras, but absolutely do not starve yourself as some form of compensation.
